III. RECRUITMENT INITIATIVES

	TYPE OF RECRUITMENT INITIATIVE (MENU SELECTION)	BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY
1	Establish Internship Program	During the reporting period, the stations offered internships to 46 students from 17 different colleges and trade schools, including the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati State College, Xavier University, Northern Kentucky University, Taylor University, Ohio University, Ohio State University, University of Kentucky, College of Mt. St. Joseph and Ohio Center for Broadcasting. Interns received training and experience in various areas of broadcasting, including News, Programming, Production, Promotion, Events, Sales, Business and Information Technology (IT).
2	Participation in Job Fair	On April 27, 2007, our stations participated in a job fair held St. Ursula Academy. Steve Conway, Local Sales Manager, and Jen Dalton, Account Executive/Sales Talent, participated in this event. The participants discussed job opportunities at the stations with individuals interested in broadcasting careers.
3	Participate In Scholarship Program Designed To Assist Students Interested In Broadcasting Careers	In January through February 2007, our stations participated in a scholarship program in conjunction with the Ohio Association of Broadcasters that offers scholarships to students interested in pursuing a career in broadcasting. Chris Sehring, Regional Vice President, assisted in the selection process for the scholarship recipient by evaluating candidates and providing feedback.
4	Participate in Event Sponsored by Educational Institution Relating to Career Opportunities in Broadcasting	During June to December 2006, Wayne Jung, an NTR Sales Manager at WKRC-TV, and Darren McCullough, a Traffic Manager at WKRC-TV, taught a broadcasting course at Northern Kentucky University and spoke to students about career opportunities in broadcasting.
5	Participate in Event Sponsored by Educational Institution Relating to Career Opportunities in Broadcasting	In February 2007, our stations participated in a panel for a career day sponsored by Ad Club Cincinnati held at the Gregory Center. Dotsy Klei, Director of Sales, spoke about broadcasting career opportunities.
6	Participate in Event Sponsored by Educational Institution Relating to Career Opportunities in Broadcasting	Starting in Fall 2006, WKRC-TV participates in an ongoing, joint project with Cincinnati State University that brought together local college and high school students to produce and air a weekly news program, “The Point.” The project was overseen by Dotsy Klei, Director of Sales, and Leslie Wardrow, Creative Services, with technical support received from Hank Hundemer, Director of Engineering, and Kim Smith, Engineering Staff. The project provides hands-on television experience to students with broadcasting career goals.
